Sustainability
Responsible Creative Practice
The studio works with a considered, low‑impact process that combines traditional sketching with digital development. Initial illustrations are created on paper using minimal materials, then refined and completed digitally to reduce waste and streamline production. The botanicals referenced in the studio’s work are grown or gathered responsibly, with care taken to protect the ecosystems that inspire each piece. Each illustrated and written work is developed with longevity in mind, supporting partners in creating products and experiences that are thoughtful, meaningful and built to endure.
Ethical Licensing Partnerships
We collaborate with partners who value responsible production and who commit to using our creative assets in ways that align with their own environmental and ethical standards. This includes material choices, manufacturing processes and end‑of‑life considerations for any products or publications featuring our work.
Sustainable Production Through Partners
While we do not manufacture products directly, we encourage and support partners in adopting environmentally conscious approaches such as:
• responsibly sourced papers and substrates
• recycled or recyclable materials
• organic and low‑impact textiles
• water‑based or non‑toxic inks
• reduced or plastic‑free packaging
We also encourage partners to manufacture locally within their own region wherever possible, helping to minimise unnecessary transport and reduce environmental impact.
These considerations help ensure that the creative assets we license contribute to thoughtful, sustainable outcomes.
Authorship and Creative Longevity
Our brand mark remains with all licensed assets as a commitment to authorship and creative integrity. This approach supports long‑term value, discourages disposable use and reinforces the studio’s focus on work that is crafted with care and intended to last.
Ongoing Commitment
We review our practices regularly and continue to evolve our sustainability approach as the studio grows. Our aim is to maintain a mindful, intentional creative practice while supporting partners in making responsible choices across their own production processes.
